Vet Doctors

Left to right we have Dr. Deanna Lindsey, Dr. Emily Roberson and

Dr. Roberson


Dr. Roberson lives in Advance with her husband Craig and two boys. She is a 1990 WFU graduate with a BS in Biology and NCSU ’94 with a DVM. She founded the Animal Hospital of East Davie in January 2004.

She has been on the Davie Humane Society Board of Directors for 6 years, is employed by the county to train and advise the officers and employees of the Davie County Animal Shelter, and volunteers for AARF in Forsyth County. At work, she enjoys surgery, especially her laser procedures, as well as medicine and dentistry. She still has Mo, her Sheltie and Gypsy the dog, as well as Numnut and Pepper the cats.



Nancy Parham

Nancy Parham has 10 years experience as a veterinary technician, including supervising surgery patients at a large veterinary hospital in Forsyth County. She and Dr. Roberson have worked together/ known each other for 8 years, working together at two hospitals previously. She has numerous cats and two dogs, a bassett hound and a lab mix.



Carl Bailey

Hello, my name is Carl. I have worked part time at the Animal Hospital of East Davie for 2 years and 8 months. I have been married for 42 years. I have two children and five grandchildren. It is a pleasure to work with a good staff and nice clients.



Dr. Wilson

Dr. Karen Wilson joined our staff in 2007. She graduated cum laude with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. Her undergraduate degrees prior to vet school were in Biomedical Science and Veterinary Science. Before moving to Davie County, she practiced small animal medicine and surgery in Ohio, Texas, Maryland and Virginia. Her special interests include general surgery, preventative and integrative medicine. Dr. Wilson lives in Davie County with her husband, son, twin daughters and Libby (Shih-Tzu) and Aqua (Beta fish).



Laina Womble

My name is Laina Womble. I am a senior at Davie High School and hope to attend Wake Forest University after my senior year. I have been working at the Animal Hospital of East Davie since the fall of 2009. I love animals and being able to work with them is a pleasure.



Deanna Lindsey

I’m a native of Raleigh, NC. I graduated from NCSU-CVM College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. I’ve practiced Small Animal Medicine since then in Southern Pines, Raleigh and here in Advance since October 2005. My emphasis is internal medicine. I’ve been married since 1997 to a fellow NC State grad and have two daughters, 7 and 9.

I have 4 rescued animals. A 12 year old cat, 10 year old neurotic poodle, 5 year old lab and our recent addition, a 2 year old dachshund brought to the hospital by the Fontaine’s (great clients). I am very fortunate to get to have a career that I love and enjoy.



Emily Charlton

Emily Charlton is originally from Winston Salem, NC. She graduated from WFU in 1995. After many years in the legal world, Emily now pursues her love for animals while going back to school to become a vet tech. When not working, Emily can be found running around with her daughter, Charlsie. Emily also helps train dogs for AKC hunt test and field trials. Emily, better known as “Ellie May” lives in Winston Salem with Charlsie (her daughter), Booger, Piper and Crash (3 Rottweilers), Stella the Chihuahua, Simmons the cat, King and Smokey, the Labs and Pearly, the hermit crab. She is always looking for the next four legged member to add to her family.



Leigh Sherrill

Technician Leigh Sherrill has been working at Animal Hospital of East Davie for 4 years. Leigh enjoys taking care of the animals, and also doing laser treatments. She has been certified with the K-Laser. Leigh is in charge of the kennel staff.

At home, Leigh has two dogs, a chocolate Lab named Mallory and a Jack Russell, Gracie. In her free time she enjoys riding her horses and teaching horseback riding lessons.



Jennifer Wilerson

Hi, I’m the groomer. My name is Jenn. I have been grooming for 8 years. I have been working at AHED for two and a half years. I love animals. I love on a farm with horses, ponies, a pig, 9 cats, 5 dogs oh and of course my donkey George. I have always loved anything furry and so I love working here. I get to do something I love everyday.



Lisa Nielson-Wayda

Lisa Nielsen-Wayda has been with the Animal Hospital since 2008. She lives with her children, Maggie and Eli, 5 cats and Grace the wonder dog. In her free time she enjoys reading and quilting. Lisa is a member of Mocks United Methodist Church and the Humane Society of Davie County, where she is the foster care coordinator.
